The past years of equestrian meet-ups with Hooves Around The World has been an incredible success! We are so thankful for everyone who comes to ride horses with us in the most beautiful places in the world. This year we are organising more equestrian meet-ups then ever before, and are even adding some destinations to our portfolio. Keep reading for more info on our 2024 calendar, and for our 2025 plans!
While our 2024 equestrian meet-up in Egypt already took place, you can still book private horse riding holidays to Egypt between October and December this year! We will plan the trip for you, and all you need to do is show up - whether you're a solo traveler (there is no single supplement for private trips!) or coming with friends! For private trips we can take any riding experience level, from complete beginner to seasoned professional.

Last year we organised our first Hooves equestrian meet-up in Lesotho, and it was an absolutely amazing experience. I have worked at this same horse farm some years ago, and it was a pleasure to be back for their unique horse riding holiday through Lesotho: "the Kingdom in the sky". This year Luzi will be hosting this trip. She knows all the ins and outs as she also joined the trip last year!

This is the fourth time Hooves goes riding in Italy, and Hanna (the host of this trip)'s third time! Here, we can accommodate all riding experience levels. From 3 to 10 October, Hanna is hosting a trip for beginners, with 4 half days of riding and some days of exploring the beautiful area in Tuscany! From 10 to 15 October, intermediate and experienced riders are welcome and can ride horses through the hills of Tuscany for 3 full days. From 15 to 23 October we have a special trail ride, from the hotel in the hills, all the way to the beach! This ride is for intermediate and experienced riders.

We have added two more months of Argentina trips to the calendar! Due to the overwhelming amount of interest in this amazing horse riding holiday, we are now also organising two (not hosted) trips in October and November 2024. On these trips you will work with the gauchos to vaccinate, brand, or anything else the cattle might need. An incredible experience to get to know gaucho culture and work!

Hooves' very first partners, and a regular equestrian meet-up for us since 2021! Hanna will be your host this year, and we have created two separate packages for this year's meet-ups. The first week from 9 to 16 November is for all beginners and inexperienced riders, and the second week is for intermediate and experienced riders. The second week from 16 to 24 November includes as much riding as you'd like, excursions, spa treatments, and above all lots and lots of gallops on fast horses!

This volunteer program can be booked year-round! We don't host meet-ups here, but one of our team visits every year to see what incredible work they do here at Imire.

We are still planning dates for 2025 for the following locations: Mexico, Italy, Lesotho, and Namibia. They will be published very soon!
We also have some exciting new destinations coming in 2025: Spain, Georgia, and Mongolia. We will be testing these locations in 2024 and early 2025. If you have ridden with us before and would like to go on a test ride to any of these destinations with us, contact us!
What is the difference between a hosted and not hosted trip?
Hosted trips are accompanied by one of us from the Hooves team. We will meet you at the airport and be with you the whole way. On not hosted trips we do not accompany you, and it will be our local partners who are with you for the week.
What riding experience level do I need for these trips?
Beginners are welcome in Italy, Mexico, and on private Egypt trips. The rest of these trips are for intermediate and experienced riders. Intermediate riders are confident in all gaits on easy-going horses, and experienced riders are confident in all gaits, on any horse!
How can we sign up?
By contacting us via the contact form here. To make a booking please write down the following information in the contact form: Name of horse riding holiday, riding experience level, and preferred dates.
Will someone film and take videos of us?
On hosted trips, Luzi, Hanna, Stine or Sanne will take as many photos and videos as possible! On trips that are not hosted I recommend asking your fellow horse riders or guides to take photos and videos of you!
Can western/english riders also join?
Yes! When switching from english to western, we recommend taking a lesson or two if you've never ridden western before, but the switch is easy. When switching from western to english and if you are signing up for a more advanced trip I recommend riding in an english saddle for about 10 hours total before coming on the trip.
Hooves is an absolute hidden gem, every person I’ve met through this group has treated me like a friend who they’re just excited to their passions with. I went on the Patagonia ride and saw richness of nature and friendship and horses that I’d never experienced! Stine was our wonderful host and quickly became our friend, helping us feel so welcome and immersed in the Argentinian culture. This will for sure be the first of many hooves trips for me and my friends!

Our trip to Luxor with Hooves around the world was one of the best trips of my life! Sanne and Luzi were amazing guides who made sure everything ran smoothly and that we were comfortable at all times.The horses at Nobi’s stables were incredibly well looked after and the guides from the stables were great. I had some of the most amazing rides of my life in the desert, and watching the hot air balloons rise was definitely an unforgettable moment! Definitely a once in a lifetime trip that I would recommend to anyone!

I had the most incredible trip with Hooves Around The World in Italy! Everything was very well organised and nothing was too much for our host Hanna to sort out at any time. The hotel was a gorgeous family-run hotel with a welcoming vibe and lots of communal social spaces to hang out, and the pool was a lovely addition after a hot day riding! The horses themselves were clearly very well looked after and the rides were amazing - from very steep hills through the bushes to incredible fairytale woods, it was amazing! Most of the rides consisted of walking, some trotting and the occasional canter - mostly because the area is hilly and there’s not loads of opportunities to canter. The team were incredible - so welcoming, caring and fun to be around! The local village of Montieri was amazing, and a highlight for me was the local Italian pizza which was to die for! Above all else, the best part of the whole trip for me has been the opportunity to meet 10 incredible girls with hilarious stories and life experiences from all around the world, I feel like I’ve made lifelong friends on this trip which wouldn’t have been possible without Hanna and Hooves Around The World. If you’re thinking about booking a trip, stop thinking about it and sign up - you won’t regret it!
