Designed for experienced riders, our 10-day Eight Lakes Equestrian Expedition takes small groups of up to 8 guests deep into Mongolia’s pristine volcanic wilderness. Following a resounding success last year, we are reopening this self-sufficient trail through Khangai Nuruu National Park, where you’ll navigate varied terrain from open grassland gallops to technical forest tracks and high mountain passes up to 2,400 metres. Once we leave support vehicles behind, local nomadic hosts accompany us with pack yaks to transport camping gear through areas so remote you can ride an entire day without seeing another soul. Between 5 to 7 hours in the saddle daily, you will sleep in traditional gers and wild tents, savour meals prepared by a private expedition chef, soak in geothermal hot springs, camel ride in the Mini Gobi, explore ancient monasteries, and track wild Przewalski horses in Hustai National Park.
The package includes all native horses and tack, accommodation, meals, park fees, and 24-hour pre/post airport transfers, requiring only international flights, mandatory remote riding insurance, tips, sleeping gear, and personal riding wear.
