About the farm

Situated on the Wild Atlantic Way, our riding center is run by three generations of an authentic Irish family. Originally from O'Connors Island, the family settled on this mainland farm in the 1950s and added horse breeding in 1994, sharing their love of coastal riding for nearly 30 years. North Sligo is where the Atlantic coastline meets Irish countryside beneath Benbulben Mountain—raw, wild Ireland at its finest. You’ll be matched with athletic, surefooted horses like Connemara Ponies, Irish Cobs, Irish Draughts or Irish Sport Horses.

Accommodation & Local Food

We’ll be staying at an B&B, a cozy, warm seaside bed & breakfast located just a 10 minutes drive from the ranch. We will be living in an authentic home run by a welcoming Irish lady who lives on-site, offering true local hospitality!

Rooms: Comfortable double rooms, all featuring private ensuite bathrooms.

Breakfast: Hearty, warm traditional breakfasts at the B&B to fuel up before long days in the saddle

Lunch: Simple trail lunches (sandwiches & fruit on picnic rides) or stops at local cafés (keep in mind that Ireland isn’t very known for its cuisine :-D)

Dinners: 3 Dinners Included: Home-cooked Monday welcome B&B dinner, Friday B&B dinner, and a proper Irish Fish & Chips night out in Bundoran on Saturday! & 3 Dinners Not Included: Tuesday at Harrison's (transport arranged), Wednesday on your own , and Thursday in Strandhill.

Our B&B for the week, shared rooms with big beds and private bathrooms.

Day-by-Day Itinerary Overview

(Note: Beach and island rides depend on tides and weather conditions, so itineraries remain open to natural adjustments!)

Day 1: Meet me at Dublin Airport and take the direct express bus (~€20 return) down to Sligo. I will send you the link to book the bus beforehand so we can all go together! Our driver will pick us up at Sligo station and take us to our B&B. Welcome group dinner at the B&B!

Day 2: Morning paddock assessment to ensure perfect horse-rider pairings. Then head out for a 3-hour coastal and rural ride along Trawalua Beach, quiet laneways, and historic bog tracks beneath Benbulben, featuring open canters on the moorland loop. Dinner at Harrison’s (paid by guest).

Day 3+4: 3-5 hours coastal and beach riding. Excursion to Strandhill for free time (optional Voya Seaweed Baths, surfing, or hiking Knocknarea). Dinners paid by guests.
